Top Tips For Choosing Your Holiday Cottage

When it comes to choosing your holiday cottage there are lots of things to consider.  There are so many different places and environments to choose from from seaside cottages to peaceful cottages in the middle of the country. You might want to consider a cottage in the lake district or even a cottage abroad.

Below are Jolly Cottage's top 6 tips to help you make your decision and find the right cottage for you.

1.  For a really peaceful,  tranquil holiday go for a property that is both detached and stands in it's own grounds.

2.  Check out the area before you book.  If you like walking.make sure it's a good walking area.  If you like activities such as golf, make sure you will be able to enjoy those activities close by.

3.  Ideally places such as markets, rural shopping areas, restaurants and pubs should not be too far away and if they are in walking distance., even better!

4.  If you are taking pets make sure the cottage owner allows pets in then property and also that the property is suitable for pets

5.  If you are looking for a cottage in an attractive environment, areas of natural beauty include national trust areas, properties near riverbanks or lakesides and properties near habours.

6.  Finally if you are traveling with young children make sure the property is safe and child friendly before you go.  that way it saves you worrying while you are on your holiday and leaves you more time to enjoy yourself.
