In a tranquil setting amid 2½ acres of grounds this spacious and very comfortable detached house with its romantic vaulted Gothic master bedroom offers a haven of peace and seclusion as well as lovely countryside views. Situated under 2 miles away at the head of a peninsula between Wigtown Bay and Luce Bay and bordering the Galloway Forest Park the town of Newton Stewart boasts good shops and pubs a leisure centre and swimming pool. Nearby Wigtown famed for its extraordinary number of bookshops is also the setting for the largest local nature reserve in Britain the Town Hall even houses an 'Osprey' viewing room. The peninsula with its central higher ground known as the Machars lying between the opposing coastlines offers a host of delights. Garliest provides lovely coastal walks and a visit to the Isle of Whithorn is a must for its harbour and pilgrimage site for St Ninian as is the visitor centre at Whithorn Priory a little inland. Burrow Head lies on a coastal footpath affording a pleasant walk to St Ninian's Cave. The distillery at Bladnoch gives guided tours. There are 10 golf courses within 25 miles and horse riding and fishing are enjoyed locally. Stranraer with ferries to Ireland is about 25 miles.

Large well equipped farmhouse kitchen with breakfast area and Rayburn and electric cooker. Utility/boot room. First floor: Master bedroom with king size bed (right photograph) and lovely countryside views. Double bedroom with single bed (for alternative sleeping only) and wonderful countryside views. Second double bedroom with lovely views across the garden to the hills beyond. Bathroom/WC.
