Water sports enthusiasts will be drawn to the excellent facilities at Abersoch (8 miles) also a premier venue for the sailing fraternity. Departing from the town's pretty harbour boat trips round the St Tudwals islands to fish or watch the local seals are also very popular. Cyclists and walkers will delight in the peninsula's rolling countryside rising up to the occasional peak affording wonderful views – on a clear day across to the Snowdonia National Park all of Cardigan Bay and as far as Anglesey's Holyhead Mountain.
