And history lovers and keen shoppers will surely head to the city of Chester just 20 minutes' drive away. With its fascinating Roman remains famous black and white shopping rows host of cultural pleasures excellent restaurants and world renowned zoo Chester offers a marvellous day (or two) out.

For quieter moments there's a glorious coastline nearby whose river estuaries are a birdwatchers' delight whilst miles of lovely beaches and a whole host of entertainments are a short drive. Whatever the weather there's plenty of family fun at the seaside resort of Rhyl where the young at heart can enjoy the excitement of two lively funfairs (8 miles). The beautiful countryside is dotted with historic small towns like Flint with its medieval castle overlooking the Dee estuary and Mold whose lively street market is famous for fresh local produce whilst Holywell is home to one of the seven Wonders of Wales the ancient pilgrimage site of St Winefride's Well. Anglesey's attractions and the mountains and outdoor pursuits of Snowdonia are under an hour's drive. Dining pub ¼ mile shops 2 miles.
