Sand and pebble beaches and a wide variety of flora and fauna in over a thousand acres of heath and marshland delight ramblers and visitors alike and the village hosts the popular annual British Open crabbing competition. Restaurants and craft shops complete the picture and across the river (accessed by foot ferry or bridge) lies Southwold with its harbourside huts selling fresh fish. Aldeburgh, Snape, Maltings and Woodbridge are an easy drive.
Our Opinion of Ashtree
If you value your space on holiday and want an alternative to small hotel rooms or apartments this cottage has much to offer with a spacious interior. The garden is a good size and provides a private and sunny spot to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Close by the beaches make a lovely day out and if you wanted to travel further afield then you could head to Snape or Maltings by car for an enjoyable day out.
