Attractive villages and beaches dot the coastline Kingsand Seaton and Downderry are all just a few minutes' drive and vast array of attractions lie within easy reach. The National Trust properties of Antony House (5 miles) and the Tudor house and gardens of Cotehele are both close by as is the historic estate and port bordering the Tamar Valley at Morwellham Quay. Plymouth (6 miles by car ferry from Torpoint) offers a great day out and many delights including the marine aquarium the famous Hoe the Barbican and numerous shops and restaurants. To the west the fishing harbours and interesting little shops of picturesque Looe and Polperro are a must to visit. Canoeing horse riding sea fishing and excellent walking on the coastal path are all found nearby as is Mount Edgcumbe Country Park whilst for the young at heart go karting is available near Liskeard (15 minutes' drive). There is a hotel and bar 300 yards away and the local pub is a half mile walk uphill. Shops 5 miles.
