Its interior is beautifully furnished in traditional style and visitors are assured a warm welcome from the neighbouring owners. The village has little through traffic but boasts two pubs serving food a fish shop general store and a butcher all within 500 yards. Masham's real ale breweries Ripon and its famous cathedral and Pateley Bridge are all about 6 miles whilst the Yorkshire Dales of Upper Wharfdale Wensleydale and Swaledale are all within easy driving distance. York's wonderful array of historic and cultural attractions are 30 miles distant. Riding is available in the village.
