The famous Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and Birkerfell, the western lakes, Muncaster Castle and Hardknot Pass and Fort all lie close by. Two pubs serving food are just a ¼ mile stroll and the shop next door will provide provisions in advance if required.
Our Opinion of Bankside Cottage
We love this 18th century farmhouse's traditional features and gorgeous hillside location. The property is charming and welcoming and the garden is ideal for families. The village location means that shops and places to eat are within easy reach and close by guests can enjoy walking in Scafell and Wasdale.
