Alpine Lodge
Wonderfully situated at Pentney Lakes a paradise for fishermen, watersports enthusiasts and nature lovers, this superb and extremely spacious lodge is one of several set within 275 acres of tranquil parkland. Its 'upside down' design makes the most of the gorgeous views and the beautiful surroundings are home to a number of rare plant species and also attract abundant birdlife. As well as private fishing visitors can enjoy lovely scenic walking through woodland and around the lakes and the local quiet country lanes are a ideal for easy and relaxed cycling. Golf and horse riding are available nearby and a great array of attractions lie within an easy drive.
The gorgeous unspoilt sandy beaches at Holkham and Wells Next The Sea are justifiably famous and at Hunstanton - a Victorian seaside resort with a Blue Flag beach famous striped cliffs and fine formal gardens visitors will find a host of family entertainments.
Just 6 miles away are the historic harbourside and winding lanes of the old town and wide variety of shops in the port of King's Lynn. The Queen's Estate at Sandringham is also within easy reach as are the little town of Holt's quaint shops and restaurants whilst the lovely medieval city of Norwich with its castle cathedral, museums, galleries and excellent shopping offers a great day out. A pub and shop are within 2 miles.
Our Opinion of Alpine Lodge
The location of this spacious lodge is really hard to beat and is perfect for lovers of outdoor pursuits. The lodge benefits from gorgeous views and has an attractive and modern interior. Locally guests can enjoy scenic walks, watersports and cycling as well as family attractions including Hunstanton - a Victorian seaside resort with a Blue Flag beach. We love the huge array of facilities in the area and feel it makes Alpine Lodge suitable for families, couples or groups of friends.

First floor: Magnificent galleried open plan sitting/dining room with wood burning stove and spacious well equipped kitchen area and doors both end to decked balcony one with lake views.
