An idyllic situation and smart contempary country style furnishings combine to make this lovely 17th century hillside cottage a perfect retreat for all seasons. There are beautiful panoramic moorland and valley views from the dining table! The cottage is attached to a stone barn in a really peaceful situation on the owner's non working farm (centre of right photograph). Adjacent to National Trust land with excellent walking in the Edale valley from the door. There is an excellent inn (serving food) half a mile away and shops pubs cafes restaurant and takeaways in Hope (1 mile). The famous Blue John caverns Mam Tor and Peveril Castle are at Castleton (2 miles); golf fishing Derwent Valley Cycle hire and trails and summer swimming are within 5 miles. Chatsworth Haddon Hall Bakewell and Buxton 12 miles and all Peak District attractions within easy reach. Alton Towers china factory tours and bargain shops in the Potteries within 30 miles.
